Over home place crowds three men, each performing a different task in the instant after a pitcher throws the ball their way. Each is on a separate team, but their performances sometimes suggest a kind of harmony.

Thanks to some generous friends of Victoria’s, we saw the first of the Nats’ two games today against the Twins. Club seats, no less, and right behind home plate. Happily, the Nats took both games.
